Wow, beautiful! I love the one with the moss and the one with the spikes. I recognize a couple of the barks, including (I think!) some cottonwoods. Happy Mute Monday!
Hey Troll, I think this was a really fun theme this week. I enjoyed looking for inspiring bark textures and was well pleased with the variety. Happy MM.
Aunty, Didn't one of those Pine barks remind you of Boxer's turtle? I think God has a great sense of humor cause he sure practiced the principle of " good design repeats itself! Loved your post!
Moi, Yep, there is a Cottonwood in there. The one with the spikes is from a Kapok tree. I've actually seen one of those without traveling to Africa. Years ago there was a restaurant in Florida called "The Kapok Tree" ... it was built around an enormous tree and if I remember it was in Clearwater, Fl... but I do not know if it is still there. Happy MM.
Wow. When you see them all together, you realize just how diverse nature is. I don't know what you've collected, but I like them all. Visually, just beautiful.
Aunty Belle, I started to, but then I decided it was TOO predictable. Besides, if I had done the designer textures thing it would have been an extremely long post :-)
K9, #9 is a picture of the lichen so if you have humidity and shade, your trees probably look like this. Thanks for the WOW! cause I think nature is very Wow and love that you paint nature with respect.

Very enlightening textural images. I read the tree names as I went along.
Happy Mute Monday!
Amazin', Fishy!
I'se partial to pine and oka as they's native, but the tropical trees inspire wonder.
Great job!
Happy MM!

Lovely! I never knew there were so many tree textures! I have this OCD thing where I have to peel the bark off fallen branches.
I really like the tri color bark. The trees can hide from other trees! :D
Happy MM!
I love this and almost went with tree bark myself!

Buzz,
Yep, there are some frightening visages in those trees
Kiki,
OCD about peeling bark? Do you peel labels off your longnecks too?
Boxer,
There is a lesson in that diversity! Each tree species makes a contribution.
