Beautiful beautiful tables. And I adore that idea of the lemon as place card. Happy upcoming turkey day to you and yours.

I will be gobbling salmon and hoping to avoid everything resembling an antacid! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Fishy!

Those are great pictures of people with way too much time on their hands. Happy Thanksgiving.

Boxer - Isn't telling a fish that you're going to eat a salmon like cannibalism? Bwahahaha

Pam,
Well Sharpies have definitely expanded our opportunities to be creative with all kinds of fruits and veggies as placecards. Before that, here at the Pond, we have often used glossy magnolia leaves with names written in with silver, gold or white paint pens.

Boxer,
gobbling but not a gobbler? If you are like me, I like the freshly harvested produce the best on this feast day.

Buzz,
You don't set a beautiful seasonal table at your place?
I am not sure it's a real holiday if I don't get to smell the silver polish! On the other hand, often the decor, and certainly the table settings, trump the food. Maybe I've got my priorities wrong?

H-O-W-L to your Boxer comment!

Peace Be with you all.

K9,
I love that first photo. I've actually done something similar in the past. These days lots of folks no longer do the silver and crystal, get dressed for the day Thanksgiving. Thus some of the more casual table settings look pretty and welcoming in a more relaxed way.
Happy T Day to all y'all .... does Trout get turkey and the chicks get grapes?

Thanks Moi, ditto. Do you do the formal or the casual celebrating on this day? I have visions of you running 6 miles before breakfast so you can gobble without counting calories or carbs or any of those other dreary realities.
