K9,
We did two pumpkins here at the pond, The Owl and the Pussycat. We had our headless Witch hanging out on the cross bar of the lampost, a giant black and blue spider that moves up and down when the door is opened, a swag of pumpkin lights over the front entry. Our treats were individual bags of peanut m&m's.

Did I read our crafty friend Boxer is coming to Chickory? Between the two of you I bet some really great gourd sculptures can be achieved! I've read if you do not carve all the way thru to the hollow, they can be carved early and refrigerated for up to a week.

Seems to me with some of the art you have posted ... you already have thrilling "templates" for potentially awesome gourd art. The trick, is having the correct sculpting tools as well as knives.

Post pictures!
