Haiku Monday: EGG

Daddy inspecting
daughters dressed like daffodils
Ahhhhh... proud Rooster day

Eggs in the garden,
Sisters  shrieking, competing.
Crowing vict'ry dance!

Craziness abounds!
Parents run with egg filled spoons
While children twitter

Symbol of rebirth
Passion moves our hearts & souls
The rooster crowed thrice

Big sister seeking
elusive golden egg prize
screams her hope and joy

Infectious laughter,
Noble spirit. Wise. Gracious.
THE best egg ever.

Little sister paints
Easter eggs of animals.
Her present from God.

Making traditions
gathered in Mama's kitchen
celebrating Christ

You're on a roll today! Hard to pick a favorite, but the first one plucked at my heart the strongest.

Moi is right. Do you dream Haikus? I love idea of you and your siblings enjoying what sounds like wonderful Easter egg hunts, but I think the one about Mermaid is my favorite. Glad to see you up with an entry.

Moi,
I think more Easter than egg but this is where my heart was today. I am tickled to read these words plucked a bit :-)

Boxer,
I never knew what a Haiku was until
Troll educated me. What fun to make a word picture or tell a story in just 17 syllables! My childhood was blessed with all kinds of goodness not the least of which, was, and remains, my siblings.
Thanks for the comment about the
Mermaid tribute.... she IS the best egg ever.

Chickory,
I'll look forward to the results!
I was sort of fearing photos of Trout and Koby decorated as eggs.
Blessings on you!

All I can say is WOW. This one must have really tickled your fancy, and speaking of fancy look at all these eggs!

What a wonderful collection. I am sure glad I limited the entries to 2! ;)

WOW!

Love your page and the Target story I just scanned (pun intended, lol). I just had to stop by and tell you how much I loved your submission:

"outer defenses
crack in jagged confusion
exposing new life"

Good luck! Rooting for your win :)

Very nice haiku. I think the "rooster crowed thrice" one was the best.

Thanks...not too sure about the "wow" but thanks for the inspiration to travel the memory trails.

Robin,
Welcome to the Pond and lol to the scanning of the Leave Me Be post.

Sometimes the outer defenses of my own life crack in jagged confusion. I am not always sure about what is exposed!

Troll,
It is always a big smile event when I write a haiku which earns your recognition :-)
