Merry Christmas!

The Fishy's are off to
 beautiful,
 historic
Charleston, South Carolina
for
Christmas !

We will be staying
in the French Quarter
in a fine hotel
which is our
splurgy
present to ourselves in lieu of  presents with bows.

There will be a day of exploration and Santa shopping.

There will be a fine Christmas Eve dinner at Hank's  where the fresh, local, seafood is splendid.  After dinner there  will be an evening stroll through exquisitely decorated neighborhoods as we make our way to St. John the Baptist Cathedral for a Christmas musical chorale and the sweetest gift... a beautiful,
traditional Midnight Mass.

We will have out breakfast delivered to our suite  where we will celebrate Christmas morning with truly thankful hearts for our many blessings. We will open presents from loves near and far and be oh so grateful we belong to each other.

Mid afternoon  we will  go forth in our Christmas finery to have Christmas Dinner at another Charleston Landmark. We will be glad of this too because Charleston is such a prized Christmas destination you have to not just have dinner reservations, you also must have a confirmation number and proof of identity to be seated!

We will explore more of this  gorgeous city by carriage ride then later, go to the  Christmas Lights Festival and have hot chocolate and S'mores in honor of the Child in us all.

May you all have a very joyous, blessed, Christmas.

Oh Fishy, what a wonderful way to celebrate. Have always wanted to visit Charleston. Rhett Butler's people were from there, you know. But he wasn't received there. Oh yes, it is on my one day list. Meanwhile, with everyone else, would love love love to see the pics. A Merry merry merry to you and Blowfish. Ya'll stay out of trouble, hear!

Dearest Fishy, Merry Christmas!

Your plans sound fantabulous. Love the idea of true treats without bows :)

Frantically trying to finish up my prep before heading to exotic . . . Iowa. It will be worth the 8 hour drive to be with family :)

Hey Moi,
Merry happy to you too!
Yes! I am bringing the wearable art! I'll ask one of the others to snap a photo for sharing. God bless you, SB, Ivan and Mattie!

Aunty,
Peace on Earth!
I am toting the big camera what comes with it's very own luggage. I shall take masses of photographs to share. Blessings on all the clan folk ... I know y'all are sorely missing Granny this year.

PamGram!
Are you so excited about Caleb's first Christmas and, how are you doing with the house full of Brits? I'll keep a sharp eye out for Rhett's ghost. Blessings on you each and every one.

Eggy,
Safe travel my friend. I bet we are all looking forward to the Christmas feast with the Eggy's blog. I will try to take pictures of the food in Charlestowne but ...well .... manners trump blogging. Hope your holiday is blessed with joyful spirits.

Chickory,
Peace be with you!
We are eager to have this new Christmas experience as a family.
One day Mermaid will be beyond spending all her holidays with parents so, for now, it's a fine reason to splurge. Blessings on you, Big Dog, Trout, Koby and the Chicks. Did I miss anyone? Bless them too!

Merry Christmas Boxer!
How are you liking your Christmas stories over at Aunty's Annex? What a fine present for you and Moi.
Loved, loved, loved your Daddy legacy story .... it is these very traditions which bind us for all time. Hope you, Mr. and all the pups have a joyful celebration.

It sounds like you won't have time. I doubt if I would but, Merry Christmas. I've been having probs with my blog. If you were going to enter a haiku. the topic is sweet and the post is right below my Christmas pics or if you hit older posts it will pop up. It's Christmas night here and I feel like a roadie for the trans Siberian orchestra. I'll be so glad when I have everything put away and cleaned up.
