These are great, Fishy. As agnostic as I have always been, I do find that Church conducted out of doors in natural settings to be particularly touching, poignant.

Happy MM.

I love the cathedral in the snow! It seems I've seen that somewhere before. Do you know where it is? Happy Mute Monday!

Fantastic churches. That one about 3/4 of the way down is the smallest church I think I've ever seen.

Happy MM!

Bear,
I always enjoy a church where God's creativity trumps man!

Troll,
Thank you! Blowfish and I actually had our wedding in the glass church in the woods on Siesta.

Moi,
Picture #2 is an interior shot of the " cathedral in the snow". You may have seem this, it is, I love this, THORNCROWN in Eureka Springs, AK.

Buzz, small in physicality, big in spirit :-)

Happy Mute Monday to all you spirits.

Aunty Belle,
You is a smart Cracker lady. Yep, that last pic is of Mary's house in Ephesus. I once enjoyed an outdoor service in this fine " spirit surround". Happy MM.

Some really cool architecture you've found there, Fishy. Bravo.

anytime I can be closer to the Earth, I feel the "Spirit" more strongly. The Minister who helped us with our MIL's Memorial has a small Church (private) near his home in the woods. I can't think of anything more perfect.

Beautiful pictures and I agree with Troll... you found some wonderful pictures.

Happy Mute Monday!

WOW! If I had churches like these near my house, I'd definitely signup! But then, I'd probably be too distracted by everything outside to pay attention!

Happy MM!

you know, there is just no good excuse for an ugly church. i loved that roadside crucifixion. i like spontaneous art like that -anonymous and rich in loves labor. very nice MM. im still working on mine and might not make it in time.

Fishy, as ALWAYS, I can count on seeing pure, true, beauty when I come to your pond. That second image took my breath away. VERY well done. Excellent MM.

xoxo to you!

HC,
Thanks and welcome to the Pond.

Boxer,
That sounds like my idea of a great place for a memorial, Unconfined and full of God's creativity. But Boxer, I was thinking of you ... did you notice the driftwood crucifix?

Kiki,
Welcome! I did find myself thinking I would like to have a personal experience in one of these "spirit surrounds".

Chickory,
Happy MM! Glad you could join in today and I soooooooo agree with you there should never ever be an ugly church building....whatever happened to divine inspiration? Which one did you favor the crucifix of the corn or the driftwood?

Kim,
that is ThornCrown and I agree with Moi... it looks worthy of a road trip to me! Glad you like my images this week and thanks for the praise.
